Artist Statement:
                   " These fragments I have shored against my ruins "
                                                                                --- T S Eliot

My eye is drawn to the poignant poetry of the primitive or the abandoned --  weathered stone,
worn and discarded fragments of wood or rusted metal --- all found by chance along my paths.

I weave these remnants into my art, integrating them with canvas or paper or thread, into works which transform them into something lyrical, while at the same time preserving the history of
how they have endured. Light and stillness -- the mysterious ways that life unfolds in time -- 
these are the elements which prod my search to build a bulwark against the world's ravages.
Small though it may be, I know of no other.
