Hee Hyoun Chung: "Through Music All Around"Solo Exhibit, Chelsea, New York, NYJanuary 5 - 30, 2010 Reception: Saturday, January 9, 6 - 8 pm www.heehyounchung.com  Piano, Piano, only Piano acrylic on canvas, triptych, 72"x156" In this exhibition, I attempt to translate pulsating rhythms to the visual music on the silent canvases, realizing that music and painting have paralleling composition elements - contrast, variations, leitmotif, texture. Music takes me into my inward passion and yearning to go beyond the tangible and the concrete and to be utterly free. This is my fourth solo exhibition. |
