Artist Statement

Quiet time is essential to my work—the excessive, obsessive labor of making is a slowing down of time, stepping out of the urgent pace of daily life. Out of seemingly nothing, a thin thread creates something, a statement. It speaks of holding what cannot be captured: light, breath, time, impermanence, mortality.
