My new work deals with a vedantic search for harmony and truth. The basis of these works started several years ago as paper collages on canvas. It is through revisiting these works, adding paint and new techniques, and making them new that I attempt to merge time in search of a greater universal message that is not the product of a particular period or emotional state, but rather, an evolution of the self.

"Moonscape" 24x48" Oil on Canvas
"About a Beach" is an art Exhibit by painter Harriet Sobie Goldstein. Goldstein has attempted to recreate the atmosphere of her favorite Florida beach in Gallery I of the Phoenix Gallery. Oil paintings, which are accompanied by the sound of the surf, line the walls. The paintings depict the beach and water during various times of the day and weather. Each of the paintings recreates and reflects a different time of day, night and weather. I have included calm days with beautiful pink tinged clouds and luminescent water as well as the frequent windy times when the air is filled with drops blown across the tumultuous ocean.
