The Phoenix Gallery is proud to present our 2010 National Juried Exhibition
June 23 - July 16, 2010. The prestigious Mr. Robert Storr, Dean of the Yale
University School of Art, was the Juror. Out of 247 entries Mr. Storr has
chosen ten artists for this year's exhibit. Hailing from the East coast all the
way to Hawaii, these ten artists create a truly "National Exhibition".
CARLOS CASTRO : SOLO EXHIBITION WINNER
CARLOS CASTRO, from San Francisco, California, is the winner of the Solo
Exhibition. Mr. Castro's video installation, "That which does not suffer does
not live", documents the transformation of a statue of Simon Bolivar
constructed with pigeon food. The statue was located in Bogota, Columbia's
main Plaza for 12 hours.
