Beth Cartland uses a wide range of techniques and materials in her exploration of artistic expression, resulting in powerful works.   She combines a mastery of classic technique and an innovative view of our world resulting in a collection of strikingly original works.   Cartland’s use of spontaneous lines, colors and textures reveal a strong personal vision.

Women's Caucus for Art/DC Chapter
"Elements of Surprise"

The Women’s Caucus for Art of Greater Washington is pleased to present a new exhibition featuring two-and three-dimensional artworks by 19 Washington-area artists at the Phoenix Gallery in New York, NY. This black and white show uses form, composition and sparks of color to surprise and encourage contemplation.
 
Exhibition juried by Sue Stoffel. Sue Stoffel has long been involved with a broad range of NY’s visual arts institutions in a variety of roles: patron, trustee, event planner, fundraiser, docent, educator and board development consultant. Since 2005, Stoffel has worked extensively with private collectors worldwide in acquisition, sales and collections management. Her board memberships have included the Brooklyn Museum of Art and Creative Time. A longstanding member of the Contemporary Arts Council of the Museum of Modern Art, NYC, Stoffel holds an MA in Arts Management from Columbia University.
