Phoenix Gallery Fellowship Program 2017-2018 Prospectus
Open to artists working in painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, mixed media or video. Selection will be made from website submissions, jpegs, CD or video.

Fellowship Winner Benefits: Solo Exhibition January 4 - 28, 2017. Sponsored membership in Phoenix Gallery for 18 months 2017-2018. Participation in member group shows. Access to the gallery space and resources during membership. Recognition on the Phoenix Gallery website.
Fellowship Membership Requirements: Fellowship member is required to abide by the rules set forth in the by-laws of Phoenix Gallery. Participation in gallery projects and attend monthly meetings (unless outside of the NYC area). Member is responsible for the cost of shipping, publicity, advertising with the exception of a listing in Art Now as well as the various free social media Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. The gallery also has an extensive mailing and email list for exhibition press releases.
Eligibility Requirements: Artists living in the US are invited to apply.
The Application Process
Artists wishing to apply are invited to submit the following: Completed application form (see below). 10 images of artwork on CD, in email or on website. Images must not exceed 2MB and must be in JPEG format. An image list on CD and a separate printed list numbered to correspond with the JPEG images, including title of the work, medium, size, and date. Artist resume. A brief Artist Statement about the work. Catalogues, reviews and brochures about the work. (optional) $50.00 application fee (check payable to Phoenix Gallery or use PayPal on gallery website).
Video
1. On a DVD submit a segment no longer than three minutes for the jurying process, but also include entire video in a separate file. Also send a link to your work.
2. Include the following with DVD: Printed list with title, date, and length of video with a description and viewing instructions.
3. Submit application, resume, artist statement and fee as outlined above for CD’s.
Application Checklist: Application form, 10 jpegs in email, website on CD or Video on DVD, Image list, Resume, Artist Statement, $50.00 application fee.
Fellowship Selection
The Jurors will select the fellowship winner by the end of September. Selected artist will be notified thereafter. The Fellowship Winner will have a solo exhibition January 4 - 28, 2017.
