Artist Statement
My work calls attention to the contemporary world of images and its impact on human perception. It asks viewers to be more conscious of their own acts of seeing and to question how digital technologies are shaping our patterns or habits of viewing. Referencing the mediums of photography and video and their related concepts and theories, my work conducts a dynamic investigation of meaning and consciousness, prompting viewers to think about their perceptions.
