His style gives pride of place to movement and undulations. As he puts it: "When I start a new painting, I have a preliminary idea. My structure develops as I go along, reacting to what has come before. I feel confident that I can totally trust my intuition and make the right decisions." There is a playfulness in these works that delights the eye and ignites the imagination.
This exhibition highlights selections of oil paintings made in his New York studio and at his home on Cape Cod. The works on paper were made at L’Expressoir artist residency in Marnay Sur Seine, France in October 2023.
