Artist Statement
The Sunset Bay series of paintings and prints are based on my reactions to the amazing light show created by nature at sunset each evening on the intercoastal in Hollywood, Florida. It is a constantly changing backdrop of bright and subtle color as the sky and clouds change to night time gray and black. And the boats become mysterious silhouettes. Harriet Sobie Goldstein was a former member of the Phoenix Gallery when it was located in Chelsea, New York City. Ms. Goldstein creates both paintings and prints.
